Happy New Year!
I can't believe it's 2009. My family minus McKenzie who is in Portland visiting my parents went to Grants Pass to spend time with my grandparents. We went out to pizza. Callie found the toy vending machines and couldn't figure out why the machine wouldn't give her anything when she put a penny inside. Wishfull thinking huh? This machine wanted $1.00 for a chezzy toy that probably wouldn't last a minute in her aggressive hands. Then went back to their house to just visit and relax. Callie is spending a few days with them which is so nice for Matt and I to just have some time to ourselves. It gives me time to think about what I want to accomplish this year. I'm feeling very creative and I want to take advantage of that. I've been visiting some online blogs that are very inspiring and I think this is my year for being creative. I love where my photography is taking me... it such a part of who I am and what I really love doing. I really love being creative too and I know that I can combine these two passions to spruce up our house.
I'm posting some pictures of Callie and Daddy playing the piano in the Clubhouse, where my grandparents live. This just might be her destiny in life. She really loves riding her tricycle and collecting rocks for all of us. We took some time just walking around the backyard of their place and I think the picture of Callie peeking through the fence is just priceless. Grandpa was showing the many noises he could make with a balloon and Callie loved every minute of that.
Happy New Year! I am so excited to see what you have instore for me.

Christmas Shopping.
Took Callie shopping in downtown Ashland a few days ago. I just might have to go back and get this snow globe for you. That was the one thing that totally caught your eye. All you wanted me to do was turn it upside down so you could watch the snow fall. Oh how I loved watching your eyes light up and that beautiful smile on your face. I can't wait for Christmas this year. It will be so much fun with you this year.

Winter Fun Jacksonville Style.
Oh my gosh... it has been forever since I blogged. So much stuff going on around here but everything is absolutely great.
Spent the day in Jacksonville... visited the Beekman House, which was open for tours. This was a rare chance to visit the most complete Pioneer Family collection in all of Southern Oregon, dating from the 1860's. Wish I could have taken photos of the inside of the house but no photography was allowed. The girls also got a chance to visit with Santa Clause (aka: Father Christmas) in the lobby of the Historic Beekman Bank. We all had hot apple cider and roasted chestnuts for the first time... yummy! For lunch, we went to Bella Union. I absolutely loved today.
